Novice, Trainee, Master.. what does it mean?

I've noticed that there are different titles being used by members; Novice, Trainee, Master Distiller. Are there any benchmarks by which these are measured? I did not see anything in the Glossary. I did not see that I was able to adjust that in the user control panel either so if it is just arbitrary then that is fine but if someone out there wants to take a crack at assigning some general benchmarks to those titles it could serve as an incentive for members.
