Greetings and salutations.

Post by Gej268 »

Hi there. I'm a carpenter from Toronto Canada. I've been distilling about a year now. I have a homemade C110 copper 10 gallon pot still with an 18 inch reflux column and 2 foot tapering lyne arm to an 8 ft worm that runs through a sealed pvc cooling tower on a fish pump. It runs about a gallon in 6 hrs. Highest proof I've gotten is just over 160. Usually about 140 to 150. I've been going steady on a corn sour mash since August and just started a bourbon sour mash. Also done some rum, vodka and (my favorite) apple brandy. Also some white wine brandy. All lots of fun but I've almost run out of people to talk to about it. I've kept notes on all my recipes and would love to talk to anyone but mostly anyone with info on the current state of Ontario's craft brew laws and micro distilleries. Lmk.
