...Bad Vodka/Neutral Review

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

...Bad Vodka/Neutral Review

Post by Still Life »

I've a buddy who really likes his vodka.
Mine, not so much.
(I had asked for brutal honesty)

"I taste the 'source'. It's not grain, but I can't put my finger on it."
He's right.

He was referring to my single (CM) refluxed, triple pot-stilled Birdwatcher's.

Looks like all my jars are going back into the boiler.
I think I got lazy --not refluxing all the way through, and guessing a triple pot would compensate.

This is good.
I need a break from a year-and-a-half of ferments, and a good concentration on my distilling methods.

The challenge is on.
