If been surfing on Home Distiller for quite a while now, reading many of the articles and I figured it is finally time to join the forum and get in contact with other enthusiasts! Distilling is the latest hobby that I picked up, and I'm quite excited where it will take me.
I always liked a good drink and about a year ago I started to become specifically interessted in Whiskys and now have a small collection of six pretty decent bottles. Shortly after that, I found this side and decided that I no longer want to be a mere consumer.
In terms of distilling, I have already started some experiment. I tried different ways to make a wash, let it ferment and distilled it with my first still prototypes. The end results contained definitely alcohol (yay!) but I was not yet confident enough to actually drink what I mixed, haha. Anyway, I decided to become more serious about my new passion (in my freetime I have been dreaming about creating my very own Whisky brand quite a bit
), so I finally joined the forum. I'm looking forward to discuss with you guys and hope that I don't bother you with my newbe questions. Who knows, maybe I will one day be able to give back what I learn here.Cheers!
