Planning my 4" flute and want to hard line it. I am going to build a 4" to 6" tall dephlegmator on top and a 3" condenser not sure on length yet. I know the water should enter from the discharge side of the condenser. But i'm not sure of the proper water path to control properly, I have a coule gate valves and a I have a 3 way valve I have seen both used with success. Any pro or con there? Is anyone willing to share a diagram of their water path and control system so I can get some options?

In the manual, there is a TON of information, including a "Plumbing" Section. Have a look.

The cooling water should be counter flow to vapor flow in both the product condenser and the deflagmator the easy way for me was to feed the water through the bottom of the product condenser and then split the out flow of it to feed the top of the deflagmator with a ball valve on the out side to join a common discharge. When in full reflux the product condenser has no load and reflux is 100% as I close the reflux return valve I can get a good and fast acting response as I use a recycling in a 55 gal drum.
