Hello all, new guy from the north of north America here. so needless to say any and all questions/comments/statements I have are purely theoretical/fictional for knowledge and entertainment only, any and all pics are of water distillers and fluids containing 0% ABV due to current laws in my country.
With that out of the way.
I'm a well rounded tradesmen and a self proclaimed mcguyver. Love the outdoors, hiking, hunting and most of all tinkering. Played with most hillbilly hobbys from bush craft to blacksmithing and some reloading. I have recently taken to distilling during the winter to stay entertained. Running a 10l pot still with 5 gal washes. Nothing fancy just a ss soup pot with an upside down bowl. top of bowl drilled out to a diffuser plate, soldered to 3" - 2" - 1/2" copper reducers packed half full with copper rings connecting to a 1/2" worm 10ft long in a bucket, propane heated. Nothing special but she's the one I brought to the dance.
I have pulled off some interesting batches of 90% corn 10% malted barley. As well as a good molasses rum and a bad molasses rum.
Wanting to find the perfect all grain apple pie recipe (the crust is the hard part for me) And to recreate a semi sweet 80% ABV light blackberry flavoured white dog I sampled as a young man.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas and learning this new craft.

Re: New Canuck
Had some Apple Pie samples at my local grain shop (here in Missouri, things are a trifle easier) and they were delicious.

Hi and welcome fellow water distiller !
To show pics, you have to upload them and place them inline
It's not straight forward, it needs a fews clicks for the magic to happen !
