Making cuts after stripping

Hi I searched the boards and didn't find what I was looking for so I figured I would ask here. I did 2 stripping runs and ended up with 2.25 gallons/8.54 L/288 oz of low wines. I now want to do a distillation run but i'm not sure how much to collect before making my heads cut. Any expert advice would be appreciated!
