I'm not sure if this is the right section but I have a proofing question
I make apple pie moonshine I used two 32oz mason jars of 120 proof moonshine so that's 64 oz of moonshine out of those 64 Oz I get 12 mason jars of apple pie if you divide 384 divided by 64 oz of moonshine at 6 oz per jar what is the proof of each jar and how do I figure it out it's only 6 oz of 120 proof shine

calculate it by volume. mathematically weight each volume measurement by the alcohol content.

I would do it like this:
6 oz per jar X 120 proof points = 720 points.
You add 26 more oz of liquid to the jar = 720 points / 32 = 22.5 proof points per oz.
There is no way this is accurate enough for the TTB but it should suffice for our purposes.

I'm not sure I understand why the sugar makes a difference and if the ethanol is absorbed by the fruit, and the fruit is still there (I don't recall any mention of fruit) then the ethanol is still there so where is the problem?
It is a very simple, perhaps overly simple volumetric calculation. It does not take into account the miscibility of alcohol and water or sugar or apples. There is no way this is accurate enough for the TTB but it should suffice for our purposes. Unless you're looking to split hairs. I'm not.
