cool set up, but the liquor hoses give some doubt.

this is an interesting still design, might work better without so much hose.

try and be creative and use some copper or stainless tube, make a liquor waterfall and stream even with a zen garden and beautiful rockwork.

I find myself near Dubuque, Iowa on some rare occasions and will plan a tour visit to Paradise Distilling next time I'm up there and politely ask about the tubing.
Also will check out that "hookah" still.
Regardless, I have a contact up there and will get a bottle of their "no hangover" rum in a few months.

I am really interested in that still, it looks like it could be great or just a headachefizzix wrote:I find myself near Dubuque, Iowa on some rare occasions and will plan a tour visit to Paradise Distilling next time I'm up there and politely ask about the tubing.

My Dubuque, Iowa resource came through with some Paradise Island Bay Rum.
(No chance to tour the distillery yet for myself.)
Nice coconut and anise flavor. Tastes good straight, and I would hesitate to put more than a splash of soda on it.
{I may have reviewed this rum elsewhere. But just found this thread again.}

Re: silicone hose treated whiskey
I just watched their video:
A wash with 15%abv made from sugar and water and yeast (no molasses), a reflux column with copper scrubbies, they make cuts (that's why you don't go blind and don't get a hangover...), 7 weeks on oak chips.
And the silicone hoses, whatever.
Seems an average hd member makes a better product.

looks like 4 of milehighs 2" potstill heads on a ss barrel, not sure about this.
He seems somewhat knowledgeable about the stilling game but some info I'm not agreeing with.
Overall does not look a great setup, i do like the big SS tanks though
