I know there's a lot going on here, but I just made an ingredients purchase run before the big snowstorm. Thought I'd share what fermentables I have on hand and what's going on in my fermentation zone:
While I'm stuck at the farm and can't do much in the garden, I'll be running the still twice a day doing stripping runs on the brandies to make way for some larger scale sugar washes (FFV, UJSSM? not sure yet)
Gotta have hobbies.
Something like 75 pounds of sugar, 50 pounds of finely milled 2-row base malt, 50 pounds each of rolled barley and rolled corn, 4.5 gallons of molasses, 6 pounds of dark LME, some cornmeal, some grits, some oat bran, and hidden behind all that is a carboy of red wine made with OTC grape juice.
30gal in each fermentor. The left one is Damson plums, has been going for 3 weeks. The right one is bananas, has been going for 2 weeks. In the front row, the black bucket has pears(started one week ago), the two white buckets have rolled barley and 2-row base malt (pitched yesterday). When you start to really get into the hobby.

Looks like you're getting it done. I haven't tried fruit yet. On my list for sure. I have been rocking Uncle Jessie' s with tasty results. I ran a single malt and it is very nice. Have fun with it.
I don't drink alcohol, I drink distilled spirits.
Therefore I'm not a alcoholic, I'm spiritual.

Enjoy.
It does my heart good to see someone else enjoy this hobby and go full throttle.
