First pot still

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

First pot still
First still. Did a couple cleaning / test stripping runs a few months back and everything seems to be functioning correctly. Need to finish up my closed loop cooling system and then hopefully start trying to make some corn wiskey in the near future.

I like how you put the cooling line back toward the other. Looks clean!

How did you transition from your 2" copper column to the 2" ferrule at the keg ? That's where i am at presently. Trying to figure out how to fabricate that piece!

AMAZING! Been reading all up on making an adaper out of #6 copper wire...etc. I knew there must be an easier way! LOve this Place !!!

I rolled it into to column using a ballpeen hammer and 4x4. I used a flat body hammer to clean it up. Soldered a ring of 10ga wire I had laying around for the lip.

There is a thread on how to do this around here somewhere.
