Thanks very much for creating this forum. I'm new to distilling. I'm actually working on a business plan to build a micro-distillery on my farm in west Texas in the hopes of making brandy from my own fruit and from local grapes. I have a small orchard that I'm continually adding to, peaches, pears, & plums. May plant some strawberries as well in the near future. There are also lots of grapes being grown near me and several wineries in operation within 100 miles of my place. Hopefully that will be the feed stock for the distillery. I know this is a Home Distillers group and I respect that. But I'm looking for people to help me get my distillery up and running. If there are folks on here that would be interested in putting their skills to work, I would like to visit with you. If not, that's OK too. Hope you will allow me to be part of the discussions. If you haven't done so already, mosey over to http://adiforums.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow. There are discussions re: TTB, fire & health regulations, distillery business plans, etc.

On the distilling side, you've come to the right place. I can't count the number of times I've read where a new distiller has been directed to Home Distiller for mashing/fermenting/distilling advice.

Thanks very much. I joined ADI a while back. Very helpful bunch. I'm reading Bill Owens new book "The Nano Distillery". Lots of great info. Do you know anyone that would like to turn their hobby into a career? I need a distiller for my operation in Texas. Someone that would like to be involved literally from the ground up? Orchard management, fermenting, distilling, basically doing everything it takes to make real fruit brandy. Could be a great opportunity for the right person.
