Transfer pumps
Anyone know of a good transfer pump that will use plastic tubing? Going from 14 gal mash tun to 14 gal fermenter

Re: Transfer pumps
I wouldn't recommend one of these if your making beer
But it works good for what I need. Screw a short piece of garden hose to it and drop it in the fermenter

Chuggers are the standard for moving hot mash and wort around.

Re: Transfer pumps
Chugger pumps are great and very easy to pull apart to clean. You’re just not supposed to run them dry.
Re: Transfer pumps
Can do that too now. https://www.chuggerpumps.com/product/xcpss-ci-1-115v/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollowSharks_n_danger wrote:Chugger pumps are great and very easy to pull apart to clean. You’re just not supposed to run them dry.

Re: Transfer pumps
That’s good to know. I wonder if you can upgrade the older models with a new run dry head.acfixer69 wrote:Can do that too now. https://www.chuggerpumps.com/product/xcpss-ci-1-115v/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollowSharks_n_danger wrote:Chugger pumps are great and very easy to pull apart to clean. Re: Transfer pumps
I can't support Chugger after that hit job they did on Blichmann.
They created a youtube review of the riptide and told everyone how dangerous it was without disclosing that they were its nearest competitor. Reprehensible.
