Re: FermPro
Moved topic to here "beer forum" maybe get more attention with ale guys. Like their 917 for corn, but looking for a cold ferment and will be trying this one my basement is 60-70F even in summertime.
Re: FermPro
Sorry, I have no input on the FermPro ale yeast diesel,
but I wanted to thank you for turning me onto the site (FermPro).
Was investigating your ale selection and got hooked on their other yeasts and enzymes,
then opened an account and ordered some items. Decent prices.
So thanks.

Re: FermPro
Glad I helped. You will like their whisky yeasts
Re: FermPro
Well I got in a packet of their ale yeast today and will make a brown ale out of it this weekend and compare to the one I made yesterday with us 05. Will let you know how it is. Also reupped on the 917
Re: FermPro
How did the fermpro taste compared to the US-05
Re: FermPro
I haven't tasted them yet. I bottle conditioned. It was a very violent ferment that blew the air lock out and some of the beer in my fermentation chamber. Reminds me of BRY 97 in that regard. Will let you know when I do the taste test.
Re: FermPro
Had a taste comparison with it and 4 of 6 preferred the fermpro. I also started a new brown ale with washed yeast from the 1st one because it was so good. Put a tube on the top of a 3 piece air lock into a jar of star san, since it was so violent. It is going crazy in the ferment chamber now

Looks like you found a winner just read that Wild Turkey has used the same yeast for the last Sixty Years.
