Hello from Oregon

Post by Cfredrick61 »

I'm picking up my first pot still tomorrow, so am yet to produce anything. I own a winery, and want to make alcohol out of our pomace as a value added product, plus to use in our port. Very excited to get started, and have been reading like crazy about the process. This is such a great resource, thanks!

Welcome, I used to belong to a wine club that made a brandy from the wines that were past dates or did not meet the standard of the wineries product. Good luck from a member just north of you!

Welcome to HD from a fellow Oregonian. Can’t wait to hear how things go for ya at the winery. Share a pic of your new pot still rig if you can. We love copper porn here on HD.

Best of luck with your new endeavor. Otis

Maybe he is up to his neck with distilling and other winery duties.

I just picked up a barrel of pomace from a winery today and will begin distilling Orujo this weekend. Luckily the weather here in Northern Oregon is pretty mild still.
