I've been contemplating an upgrade from my standard 16 gallon Brewhaus stainless pot still column.

I've scoured the website through HD search but only found information on lyne arms, but in this particular section of the column, is there any benefit over purchasing this instead of packing copper scrubbers on my 2" stainless column?
And if so, what sense does it make to put a plate before it gets into the helmet? Does any of this change the flavor profile?
