I was looking for a place to post this question, hopefully this is ok.I have everything ready to take to my welder, including my whole keg prepped with holes. But was thinking......
I am building a 3" boka combo. My column design so far is a 48" plus a 18" reflux head on top of a 13 gal keg, tri-clamps, 5500 watt element, pid controller. My main focus is clean spirits however for trading purposes ect, I would like to run some flavor. Separate from the Boka head I have a pot still head with a leibig intended to replace the reflux head portion. This sits the pot still head on top of the 48" column section. Will I still be ok? Or should I cut the 48" piece in half, add another tri-clamp and run the pot still head on a 24" section? I have done a lot of reading but not much on the advantage or disadvantage of pot still column height. All comments welcome.
I just want to say thank you for all the great answers to my questions so far. I have been involved with a lot of builds over the years needing help from others and find this forum very friendly. I hope to be in the position to return the favor once my knowledge is increased as I have done on other topics.
