Daftman checking in

Post by Daftman »

Hey all, I have been using the forum for numerous years but never bothered to register (there was a copy of this forum in my own language which went down in 2018)

Soo... Daftman checking in from the western EU.

I've been distilling for almost 15 years now. Brewing cider as a side hobby. I like the process but not the drink so.... yeah that's not a good story to start with I guess :)
Distilling I picked up in Hungary. Turning fruit in alcohol, in Hungary called Palinka, which currently my specialty, but by far I would not call myself a specialist.

At this moment I am creating a new still. I want to make it sort of a fixed setup (with tri clamps for modulation options), and make other spirits.
Soooo... yeah that's about it. Any if you have any questions, just ask :)

Sorry your native distilling site went down, but you appear to get along with English quite well.
I think you'll be happy with us as a replacement. Welcome to Home Distiller!

Thanks for the warm welcome. English on itself is not really a problem for me. However due to the nature of the hobby, the terminology can get a bit daunting to me to be honest. But as it goes slowly I am transcending to the English terminology and getting trouble with my native words by now.
