FNG

Post by Thecraftsman »

Gents, Ladies,
The craftsman here, coming to you from my cozy little slice of heaven in the eastern United States. Two things have brought me here: one is my love of working with my hands, Wood, metals, masonry, tile.. you name it and I’ve likly spent some time learning to work with it. The second is the love for really good tasting booze. I throughly enjoy a smooth bourbon and will do unspeakable things for a good scotch. So put the two together and here I am. Im currently waiting for a 15gal copper pot still to start my adventure and after the reading I’ve done thus far I may be looking forward to building some accoutrements more that actually making my first run. Maybe!

Haha, there's plenty more to this hobby than just the distilling. I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy.
There's a bunch of good whisky recipes on here, best to get started asap as scotch style whisky needs plenty of time on oak ;-)
Welcome!

I spend more time building than stilling and more time stilling than drinking. Love the handle! Good name.
