finished my 1st sacrificial run

Post by Patriot »

Been lurking a long time here reading, I put together a sugar wash based on Uncle Jesses recipe. Used that for my sacrificial wash today. Was nice seeing everything work like it should. I have a AG mash, fermenting Ill strip out next so I can try a sour mash.

I did take the time to feel and smell the product. The fore-shots defiantly stood out as did the early heads.

After I cleaned up today, I rinsed out my boiler but my column which I should use again in a day or 2 I just took the cap off it to air out. So, experienced guys is that acceptable? or should I remove my packing and clean the entire column if its only going set a couple days?
