My dad died of cancer in a VA hospital. It was amazing for me to visit him and see all the vets my age from Vietnam living at the hospital with agent Orange.

Cranky: Thanks to your and your better half, means a lot!

The last 24 to 48 hours my temperature has increased about 2 degrees F.
My chest congestion has increased around 300%.
I woke up at 1AM this morning with what I can only describe as an intense gasp, sucking air in through a small tube.
We have been practicing this technique that has been working for patients, lets see if I can find the link it might be helpful to someone...

Reason you see so many vets diein hospital instead of home cause they didn't pass SOS veteran caregiver act H.R. 4451

9/11 vets got better benefits on this

Sorry for takein this off course

Temperature pretty much normal for several days but I've been coughing up crap for over two days.
Contacted my doc but he isn't in the office until tomorrow.
Going to take Mucinex tonight and see how it goes.

Cranky, Nerdy, I wish you and yours well.
Personally haven't had symptoms but I know people who do.
One even died of it. A coworker just lost her mother to the virus, her dad has it too.
To me the scary part is for all I know I can have it too, without symptoms, and still spread it.
Over here it seems to be on the decline. I hope that continues to be the case.
Just read about Sweden, they're starting to say they should have gone in lockdown as well. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Thank you Corsaire,
I'm continuing to stay home and recover.
My doctor said yesterday that he's just glad I'm not in the hospital.
My congestion is manageable mostly, sleeping ends up with a jolt of coughing when the stuff accumulates to the point where it blocks breathing.
Only lasts a moment but it's difficult to go back to sleep after that.
My doc said to give the antibiotics a couple more days and let him know how I am.

There's a lot of people "in charge" who are making rules about things like interstate travel that seem truly to be slow witted.
Alaska just instituted a rule that people traveling to the state must have a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of departure.
Sounds good right? This is a change to their previous rule that everyone entering from another state or country must quarantine for 14 days.
I don't know about how long it takes everyone else but here in the greater Seattle area it's taking 5 to 7 days to get results after a test.
Clearly someone there isn't in touch with reality.
Oh yeah, they are elected and appointed to their positions - they don't have to be connected to reality.

But the majority of those you stated about are not..

Good to hear you are on the mend..

My son was tested last moth in Seattle before dental surgery. He was tested in the morning and had results within 24hrs, I think they actually got them that evening.

Wow, wonder how they do that? My doctor apparently doesn't know about that kind of test.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04323514

Also Google Doris Loh. She is a renowned researcher.

Thank you L.
We have been taking 1k mg Vitamin C in the morning and 5K units Vitamin D at night.
I think this helps, if not it's something we are doing anyway.
Just started watching the video, I will finish it.

I should have responded with this info earlier. I didn't want to come off as an internet doctor. But now I'm worried about you.
Anything you can do to reduce inflammatory markers will benefit. So Vitamin D is excellent also.
You'll need to dose more frequently as bioavailability lasts for about 2 hours.
Also, as mentioned in the video melatonin at night.
The video explains.

Wow, that is revolutionary information.
I'm sending this out to my friends and family.
Glad I just bought about 300 grams of ascorbic acid, I can see I haven't been taking nearly enough.
Just took a hammer dose as Doris would say, I should notice the effect very quickly.
Thank you for sharing this.

Ok great!!!!!!
Yeah if you have an irregular bowl movement issue you know your actually good / normal. Then can adjust dosing.

But if your BMs are same as always, then you're not getting enough. Basically dose till you get a sloppy poo then adjust

Lol, does it though?

Seriously though: "alcohol causes inflammation in the intestines and impairs the body's ability to regulate that inflammation. In turn, inflammation worsens alcohol-related organ damage."
Not to mention alcohol down regulates the bodies ability to make testosterone. Low testosterone often coincides with all of the other symptoms related to metabolic syndrome. All hallmarks of inflammation.

Men should strive for 20% BF or less. And woman 30% or less.

Data shows the equivalent of 4 oz of 12% abv is perfectly fine. The further you get from that the more alcohol related risk factors increase.

Been trying to take it easy on the drink while recovering.

Preliminary results of following the suggestions of Doris Loh:
I did not wake up gasping for air at all for the first time in over a week.
I would say my inflammation is reduced about 60%, I'm doing it again for a second day.

So glad to read you are noticing improvement, weird how it effects folks differently. My aunty seems to have made an almost full recovery , uncle never caught it and her younger otherwise healthy friend passed away. Seems like it's just luck of the draw to some extent how each person's body will fight it off. Heard on the news the other day a 94 year old received while a 31 year old didn't.
@Goose eye, really sad to read about vets being used as Guinea pigs like that, there's something really wrong with the world right now.
