Vapor line question

Post by Whiskey11 »

I’m thinking about using this as a way to easily connect my still to the worm. Yes or no? It has some type of rubber gaskets.

 Worse than that , the whole thing is Rubber with a pretty stainless steel braid over it .

Definitely do not use

Excellent for connecting water lines to /from/ beteen condensers though . :D

Yup, the only thing these are really helpful for would be as a diffuser in your thumper, but you'd have to cut the connections off, pull out the rubber tubing inside, and fasten the braid to SS or copper fittings. Otherwise a big no no for hot alcohol vapor

Similar “laugh-at-myself” moment today. I was looking at buying brass fittings and had a minor complex about brass on a still- and then remembered I was working on the condenser water lines. Hehe.
