220v single phase Euro to USA wiring

So I'm interested in a 220v 1.7a pump, it's a European product. Just sanity checking that I can wire a european 220v single phase device to a 220v 15a breaker/socket in the USA. Looks like I'd wire the European brown wire to the black/110v leg, and the blue european neutral wire to the red/other 110v leg to get my 220. And green<->green w/yellow stripe is ground. Hoping someone with experience will chime in to verify.
