I made a white rum a while back. Fresh off the still, it was pretty good. Decided to add some spices and flavors to make a spiced rum, and way overdid the anise. So I have a couple liters of this terrible 100 proof licorice rum sitting around.
If I add it to my next rum wash, will those flavors come over in the distillate? I mean, I'd rather toss it than ruin another batch.
