Ravi,
I got a rough price to ship you a barrel and it would cost $70aud with a 10lt barrel costing $230 I would expect it to cost $300 for the barrel. That's $262907 KRW. That's double the cost of the China one so it's up to you if you want to try. I know I would struggle to justify paying double but I'm definitely happy to help if you are interested. They are pretty nice barrels and professionally made.
I appreciate your help!!! but seems too much cost for me as a new distiller. Even so far I am not sure enough that I can fill it up with good distilled stuff. If at any point of time I feel I need premium one I will definitely come back to you.
Hello,
Oh bro it seems expensive for a new distiller. As of now i am not sure enough that i can make good quality spirit to fill the new barrel. I think its batter to start with cheap one. in future if i go further surly contact you back..
2.5 months on oak and this stuff is gold! Tasted it next to a couple of mid tier scotches and it's easily comparable. Not overly oaky great flavour notes absolutely zero harshness! And I'm tasting at 55%

Barrels, schmarrels! Let's talk about that whisky!

Mash Bill: 50% Simpsons Golden Promise
25% Weyermanns Munich
25% Simpsons Imperial
Final Product: 5lt @ 55% and it tasted pretty nice straight
Holy munich and super munich batman! That sounds like a breadwinner to me! Mash details? Still details? Run style?
Ok, lemme guess... 14 gallons all grain mash, stripped, spirit run, proofed down to 55%, but not by much because this was a "virgin" run with no low wines added? No? Come on, I'm not a whisky witch... tell us what ya did?

Are you sure your not?!?
50lt mash (approx 14gal) @ 10%
Stripped then spirit.
Virgin run.
No feints added.
Pot still. No plates or reflux.
Honestly this was only my third proper run on my still so I was still learning a lot. But I think I was super cautious with my cuts that's why I only ended up with 4.5lt @ 55%
Having said that I had my father in-law around today and I gave him a taste. He was blown away and he loves his whiskeys.

Yeah buddy, that sounds nice. About 50% of total alcohol is tight but not stupid tight, good for drinking a wee bit early I imagine. Feints, familiarity, and the willingness to age it will make a bigger heart next time I imagine.
Yeh this is just coming on to three months now but I'm aiming for one year. Will be ready just in time for my wife's birthday. She doesn't care much for you can't please everyone.
