Greetings from the True North Strong and (not so) Free...

Post by Clae »

Hello everyone. I've been a long-time lurker in the forum, but only recently felt learned enough to post something

I got interested in brewing a year or two ago (mainly mead and country wine) and eventually felt distilling was sort of the natural progression from that. So far, I've made some rum, Honey Bear Bourbon, peach brandy and a few less successful projects i now keep as a never-ending supply of firestarter

As one of the younger university students I'm probably a couple years behind a lot of you when it comes to knowing the good liquor from the bad, but i think i'm slowly getting the hang of it...

Anyways, happy to be here and proud to serve!

I was actually trying to get my still into my signature, but for whatever reason i cant get the dang thing to work...

Im running a CCVM still (got the idea from Jesse of Still It channel, thanks man!) 50"-ish with a 27" single liebig on top of an old 15gal keg. column's about 2.5" and propped up on a 60,000 BTU ring burner.
We bake the white bread, We bake the brown bread... We bake all sorts.

15gal Keg Boiler / 42" 2.5" column / Combo CCVM Still Head / Propane Fired

I am just south of you and I do know the Canadian anthem as we had to sing it every Thursday at our Kiwanis meetings as our clubs district included lower BC so we had exchanges often.
