Cylindrical filter probably useful

Post by Demy »

A few months ago I turned on aliexpress and I came across these filters, there are various types of them and I took one for my liqueurs. I thought of those of you who use nice botanicals in the steam path to make gin so I thought it might be useful to someone or maybe it's silly. This is my filter

It should be safe for a few peels, but not for the amount of botanicals I used today.

Yes, these are small quantities. In the third link I entered it is 15cm (about 6 inches) long but it's still for small quantities. It is possible there are larger sizes.

Anyone ever try using one of those tea balls that would hold loose tea leaves? I've made it using that several years ago in a 2 inch column and it worked out great.

I know them, used for liqueur infusions but these have a more spacious cylindrical shape, so I thought .......
