A friend brought this piece of hardware to me a while back. It certainly appears to be a still of some sort, but I haven't been able to find any info on the web. Just hoping someone might recognize the model, or have some clue as to what it would have been used for?
I'm most curious about what's going on inside the condenser. Specifically there's some sort of baffle chamber? that seats into the top of the boiler. There doesn't appear to be any way to access the interior of this section, except for the one opening shown in the picture. Any ideas what this section was for?
I'm also really wondering about the open ended pipe that runs part way up the outside of the boiler. My guess is it would have been attached to some other container for a continuous feed type operation. Anyone know?
Thanks!
