Thanks for the welcome - the UP is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I'm a whiskey drinker, a long-time home brewer, and just getting started with spirits. Planning to start with a sugar wash to experiment with the new still, but expect to be working with a corn / malted barley mash after I have some comfort with the equipment.

Welcome, learn something new about regional areas all the time. The obvious is NORCAL, NOLA, now UP.

Welcome!
My dad was from Houghton and my uncle was the AD at Michigan Tech. The family moved south when I was less than a year old and we never made it up to the UP for a visit. That trip is on my bucket list.
