For those interested in the science behind Beer there is a course on it starting November 2 on edX: https://www.edx.org/course/the-science-of-beer/
Apart from the homebrew (which, like many members I also do) it could prove invaluable for new craft mash/wash recipes as well as for figuring out how some mixes just don't taste right. Now I know the basis of everything is already in this forum - it's just it may be interesting to see the approach from the chemists and industrial/commercial brewers. The 12 module course is for free but you can also do a Certificate in it from the same people for a fee.
To give credit where credit is due it was thehomebrewforum.co.uk member sspaepen who put up the information there.

Very cool! Thank you for sharing this.
Re: Science of Brewing (course)
Looks like the course started Oct 6th will check in to see if you can make up videos you missed.
Re: Science of Brewing (course)
You can. Access to the free course (audit) expires in early December, but looks like it restarts in February.
Thanks for the heads up Cwrex, cheers
