Hello from Vancouver Island

I live just north of Victoria and have been interested in distilling for some time.
I have been reading through this forum and others for a while to try to get up to speed.
I just decided to make a modest investment in one of the inexpensive Chinese pot stills to get some familiarity with the whole process before buying or building a reflux/hybrid still.
I am initially interested in rum, brandy and will give a try with UJSSM.

Welcome, I do a lot of boating in the Gulf Islands (at least I did before the pandemic closed the borders). We have several members on the forum from Vancouver Island.

It has been a real shock not see US boaters around Victoria and the Gulf Islands this summer ... hopefully by next summer!
