NEW TO SITE

Post by ratdog01 »

Hi All
First of all a big thank you to you all for your posts

My name is Martin and i make spirits
started at begining of lock down with small air still using sugar wash made loads of gins for the wife and her friends using the little bottles of flavorings
then ebay got me buying berries and bits of leaves and stuff double distilling in a little metal tea bag thing came out well
ebay got me again now have T500 with all the bits so far thanks to your site have made corn whiskey loads nautral spirit and have been playing with grains
not so easy to get in uk unless you are spending laods at brew shops (3kg bag about 6.00 dollars) but i have found pet food shops sell grain
so have tried the chicken food mixed grain (no pers or additives) corn wheat barley and a few other things followed one of the grain recipes from here and used the chic food instead its great smooth lots of flavors and i can still see
of course i have all the permits needed to do this

when life gives you lemons distill them and get drunk

thanks again

Hey Martin, welcome to HD.

So far as I'm aware, if it's got starches it's fine for mashing, though each grain will have its own handling requirements.
