Women.... the wife’s friend was over and was bragging how her husband of two years bought her flowers. Wife started acting all pissy. I asked her friend what she was so cranky about?
Her friend said she was mad because I never buy her flowers.
I was like “I didn’t even know she sold flowers!”

My buddy laughed, I laughed, we’re in the garage now...

Maybe an inside joke? Maybe he'll come back in and enlighten us.
Unless, of was one of those statements just to intrigue folks and get folks talking? If so, well played sir... well played.

Got a new girlfriend now, Claire Lee.
It was a terrible breakup though, got a bit messy but its ok now, I can see Claire Lee now Loraine has gone.
Taking a break while I get a new still completed....

Didn't realize he got hurt and would never make light of that, my apologies. Getting hurt on the job in construction ain't no joke. It isn't a paper cut or cramped fingers from running the keyboard all day. However the "joke" was somewhat a play on the way it was described. The boots went through what I assumed was the ceiling during a demo job, leaving the person standing there in their stocking feet. Something similar to watching guys work in the mud with rubber boots. Some days it's so sticky you can't keep your feet inside.

My apologies for the confusion and making light of a more serious situation than I realized.

Durhommer, hope your coworker has recovered and yall are back to work getting that in the dry. Walking on slick joists and rafters ain't easy.
Bent quite a few nails in my time. Until I discovered framing nailers. Awesome invention. Now I only bend a nail once in awhile instead of all the time. But we wont talk about how easy it seems to be to get jams, double feeds, etc... 16 and 18 gauge brad nailers are great too. But i have to borrow them from SOH when I need to pin something together. Probably gonna have to plumb the shop for multiple air outlets, cause shes talking about an air fired stapler now or electric stapler.
Still house started out being planned as 20x40 metal pole barn but turned into a 20x40 and 20x40 "L" shaped , log siding with porches, lofts, etc... and the SOH has her own shop in one side.
We call it the shop, not a still house, just so we dont say the wrong thing around the wrong person. You say still house here and everyone knows exactly what you mean.

It's all Truckinbutch's fault that HD has a liars bench.
Here at home little local store has one and then the courthouse in town has a couple benches the old fellers sit at, tell stories, trade knives and watch things.
PS: Quite a few of us have contributed over the years. So we owe a big thanks to TB, for starting this.
