Inkbird ITC-100VH

Post by OZBrewer1 »

Hi,

Does anyone here use the Inkbird ITC-100VH and can share the settings they use? I intend to use mine at the top of the column

I have found a lit of useful information on the 106VH but the settings and menus are completely different.

To save lot of initial questions, I am using the 100VH instead of the 106VH because I have the 100VH and not the 106VH

Thanks for any help

It looks like a temperature controller (AKA PID), do a search for PID on here, settle down for a long read, and then buy a power controller instead, and use the inkbird controller to maintain fermentation temperature (which they do well).
Ideally read up on the science of distilling and the temperature of differing boiling/condensing points of differing concentrations of ethanol in water, and the process of fractionation. "The compleat distiller" is a good book for information, and not ancient like it sounds, well worth buying.

Thanks for the reply, but my question is about the settings for the Inkbird ITC-100VH, I have been using different PID controllers for about 20 years now and I am very happy that I will be using it the way I intend to use and have used similar controllers for a very long time, I just need to know if anyone has used the same model and has some settings they can share

Heres the manual. Hope this helps.

If you let us know how you would like the PID to be set up and you want it to do, Maybe someone can help. But if you intend on using it to control the input to you heating elements on you boiler maybe a variac or SCR might be better.

Cheers. SomethingObscure
