I'm looking at buying a 60 gal pickle barrel from https://www.ghbarrels.com/.
Free delivery for $30.
I assume boiling water and my DIY PBW, and/or straight sodium percarbonate, plus a soak in the sun (although its still cool here in MI) will take care of the smell. Anyone have any experience that would say DON'T buy one of these pickle barrels? Seems like an awesome deal for a good sized fermenter. I'm currently fermenting in 1/2 bbl kegs, so would like to have a big batch fermenter vs having to do three separate ferments.
