Has the pace of new membership gone up during the pandemic?

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

Has the pace of new membership gone up during the pandemic?

Post by BatGuano »

This one is for the site Gods, who have access to this information. I had a quick look at the Welcome Centre, and saw what I thought was a lot of new users, but being new myself, wasn't sure if this was out of the ordinary or not. It would be interesting to see if the membership here has grown more rapidly during the pandemic than before (i'm a sucker for statistical information).

I can't speak to the traffic on the sites but I know that a lot more people I know have gotten into brewing and distilling over the pandemic. Something about extra time, less money and not being able to leave the house as much.

the lockdown put me over the edge last year. In that regard it was the best thing that ever happened.

That spike in April is interesting, we were told to go home in March of 2020.

I also saw a huge spike in membership when Moonshiners first appeared on TV.

@Uncle Jesse,
Any idea how to account for the April and May numbers?

That's when the lockdown began and people were at home with some leisure time.

Yep. The end of March was when we got shut in.
