Heads or is it just me?

I run a 26 gal ss pot with 3”-3 plate column with dephleg and liebig condenser.On a typical 20 gallon ujssm run I full reflux for 20-30 minutes to stack the column then collect fore shots at a drip. I toss the first 500 ml, then collect in pint jars at a just under a pencil lead size stream. I let the jars breathe for 24 hrs then rest 1 week before blending. With all that said here is my inquiry. Is it normal that the first 6-7 pints taste heady?
