Greetings from Battle Ground, WA
Hello all. I received a distilling kit from my wife as a gift. We like doing/making things ourselves and this is how I became interested in distilling. Look forward to learning from the posts here. Thank you

Welcome from another wet-sider to your NNE. Enjoy the journey.

Welcome from another northwester. I'm up north by Seattle, but I've been to battleground many times. What kind of still did she get you?

Yes. I got all the firewood ready, flashlights and battery banks charged up. Hope you're prepared for the snow bringing some tree limbs down and knocking out power. Merry CHRISTmas.Spokane2303 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 24, 2021 6:25 am Welcome Yarp!

DRHillier, thanks for the greeting. Not much to do in Battle Ground unless your interested in seeing a mini-Crater Lake type park. I have a Vevor 2 pot 9.6gallons, from Amazon. Merry CHRISTmas

I have the exact same still. I'm not going to burst your bubble, you'll understand when you use it. There's some challenges to be sure. Feel free to PM me once you've run it and we can compare notes. One thing though. The pot that they call a thumper is NOT a thumper. A thumper has a spear on one pipe going into the pot. Kind of like a bong. Exactly like a bong actually. So unless you want to fill it with botanicals or something don't bother using it. To eliminate it you'll need a half inch by half inch female coupler to hook the condenser straight up to the output of the boiler. Mine didn't come with one. But you'll learn with it. It's still fun. I've have mine for a few months and I'm putting something else together.
