Been a wee whike since I signed up, but this week I finally got onto some grain mashes specifically for distilling rather than beer.
1 mash of 6kg pale malt and 1 kg malted oats which will be turned into my first whisky
1 mash of 1kg HDP malt and 5kg of wheat malt which will be turned into neutral(ish) to chrck for differences in flavour/mouthfeel against TPW neutral.
And right this minute I have some of my TPW neutral which was macerated with Juniper, coriander, angelica and orange peel for 24 hours coming over the pot still.
