When I first read about "Flute" stills, my thought was it represents a plated (Perf or Caps) still WITH viewing ports.

without ports to view the plates, it does not look like a flute, more tuba!

They’re simply fun and engaging to run. Directly controlling flavor with adjustments to power and reflux is awesome. They look sweet too.

Double pot stilled is great for whiskey, but less exciting to watch. Ha!

So I added some hardware to my dephleg. It’s a little more than I wanted as far as bushings and fittings go but I’ll refine as I go. So that my outgoing line isn’t crimped by being hot I’m going to put a 90 after the needle valve as well. Even if I switch to pex later I believe the 90’s will help.
I’m going to use the Twisted shotgun on er’ instead of the SS that came with it. You can see by the picture how much smaller it is but I don’t need a lot of knockdown power on a spirit run. It came with this BIG ASS parrot so I’m inclined to use it for now until i I can fabricate a 0.5” collection pipe that is removable. I use the copper shotty on my pot and with that I really don’t need a long collection pipe. I’ve got the 2.5” to 2” SS reducers to facilitate the twisted shotty MOD with the flute.
Here are some up close shots of the perf plates. Not too shabby craftsmanship really.
I know this is going to piss Larry off and I’m sure a couple other members and I know it comes out of respect for those that started and helped to build this idea. But I bought this flute from MileHi
Sorry Olddog. I have neither the time nor resources right now to set out to build my own at this point. Much respect for you and everyone other craftsman out there.

Put a “wye” on my laundry supply line. This feeds the dephlegmater and I use a pump for the PC. Having only used a Liebig until recently I’m still amazed at how efficient the shotgun condensers really are.

I can't believe it either! I hardly use any water in my runs! I haven't measured, but the water that comes out of my 1/4" hose isn't even 2x the rate of takeoff from the spout!
