Hi All
I have a question about adding muck to my spirit run. I have aged my muck for about 5 months now, smell OK but looks pretty nasty. After a bit research and reading the consensus is, mold spores should be avoided at all cost from being add to the still as they add bitterness to the final product.
My question is, would filtering my muck through an activated charcole filter before adding it to the still destroy the flavour ester I'm trying to add or would some other medium do a better job or not worry about it at all.
