I was in the midst of building a 3" boka when some big life changes occurred. Anyhow, I have a 36" column with an incomplete 24" boka head that attaches via a 3" copper coupler. Got an overbuilt condenser already made, 1/2" x 12" cold finger with double 3/8" coils.
two questions. Is a 3/8' id takeoff sufficient or should I go with 1/2" id? Second question, as I have an extra 3" coupler, is there any advantage to making a 3" hole in the center top of the keg and silver soldering the 3" coupler to attach my column or is a 2" to 3" reducer acceptable. I'm thinking that less restriction is better. Anyone want to contribute their 2 cents?
