It would add mass, add copper and increase surface area.
I made a bunce of copper SPP a while back that I intended to use in my old column, but now I am thinking about buying a column with 6 bubble plates in it.
I am after fairly clean spirit, or at least want to have the option to get clean spirit. I am not into rum making just yet.
I went through pages and pages here but could not find this mentioned before. And the site would crash whenever I tried a search.
