Hi everyone im new here and new to home distillation. I have only distilled one sugar wash and some mead and sake i brewed couple of months back, all with good results.
I have done a rum wash now and stabalized and clarified today and these appeared on top, does anyone know what they are.
Recipe was 5 kg dark brown sugar 2 kg molasses and water to 25 litre, i thought they might be yeast rafts or proteins like sometimes happens in mead but ik not 100% though
