Good afternoon all,
Have done a lot of reading on the flutes and have gathered nearly all the materials and tools I need to build a 100mm (4") flute.
The question I have is that most of the designs seem to solder in the perforated plates to the column.
I am wondering if the Perforated plates could be simply slotted in between 2 sections that I am intending to join with a tri-clamp.
So it would be:
ferrule
perf plate
ferrule
held in place with tri-clamp
Does that make sense and any reason why it shouldnt work?
The reason I am thinking of this is for cleaning, converting to a straight pot still and cleaning.
Thank you
