Reflux copper parts

Post by theawfulone »

Where is everyone sourcing their parts to build the distiller? It's calling for 2"pipe 1 1/2" copper pipe , reducers , etc... I can't find these ANYWHERE. Lowe's, home Depot, online, etc. Nothing. Any help is appreciated

Box stores stopped carrying them when the cost of copper went crazy expensive. Any HVAC/R or plumbing supply will have it. I use https://www.supplyhouse.com for best prices and fast shipping.

No, L is standard potable water. M is typical hot water heating tube. Either will work for our purpose and M is lighter and therefore costs less.

If you have a Menards store near you, they usually have an excellent selection of pipe, fittings and reducers. Their prices are typically really good too.

Get what has an ID that will fit stainless sanitary ferrules closely. This thead has dimensions of both in it. 0.003-0.004 gap is perfect for me. That's a diameter difference of 0.006-0.008. 1" type M drove me crazy so 0.055" diameter difference is outside my skills. Don't forget K and DWV thicknesses too

Local plumbing wholesaler is the best source I've found for pipe.

Supplyhouse is my choice for fittings. Over $100 gets free shipping!
