Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
I’m out here in the Midwest. Currently 3 degrees outside with some crazy wind. I have my family from out of town visiting for Xmas and they’re definitely getting the full experience! Today, mid-run making some Vodka, they came to inform me it seems the furnace stopped working. Guess I didn’t notice since I’d been around a warm boiler all afternoon. Thankfully I’m a VM guy and the furnace is 10 feet from my rig. I turned the vapor valve closed and went to inspect. Little extra full reflux time never hurts, right? Hah
Walked over to the furnace and it seems my flame rollout switch kicked on because the wind is blowing into exhaust vent. I’ve had to reset it multiple times now and at one point got a little worried I’d have to get an HVAC repair guy out here while I’m halfway through a run. Not exactly a hobby I want anyone to know about, especially a running rig!

No idea how it happened… all the grain was pushed into a cap, seemed to be bubbling, I didn’t have an air lock on it just put a loose lid on the bucket. I went to run it and I kept it low, it started running really fast and the still was puking on the lowest possible heat setting. Everything that came out was amber waterDeplorable wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 7:09 pmHow do you miss that a mash didnt ferment?PirateShiner wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:22 pm Still blowing here in southern Ontario…. I just went into my garage and fired up my still. Did a rum run then a AG whiskey run and realized it didn’t ferment….

It wasn't done.
With an ag wait for the cap to drop and then wait another week.

Ugh. Woke up to 6 degree F…. Wife left faucets dripping all over the house, but the shower pipe froze. Unbelievable. Not supposed to be like this in the US South East…. May be time to move to the Caribbean.
I just read an article about the dangers of drinking that scared the crap out of me.
That’s it. No more reading!

Typical PNW weather, yesterday it was below freezing with a freezing rain and hazardous to drive, today it is 50 degrees and raining.

Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
Well the snow was finally melted by the rain. Revealing the piles and piles of dog shit all over my lawn. And now the weatherman says there’s more snow on the way which means I had to pick up all those bundles of soupy sloppy Joy before the next storm tonight.
Ended up being a very conservative estimate of at least 40lbs of shit in the bag.

No, but the lifted Cummins will
Actually I drive an 08’ Kia Optima as my daily commuter. It was my wife’s clunker when I met her. Still has the Betty Boop floor mats and scratches from when her ex keyed it. The doors don’t lock and the ac is busted. But the brakes are good, the tires fair. I spent the cash on some nice Snow Tires and she’s done me good all year long.
I’d have to pick up a second job if I drove that diesel 365

I hear that. I drive a 2018 Duramax 3500 Crew cab, long box daily. Today our state just raised the gas tax another 49 cents a gallon. By Wednesday when people start filing up again, I hope they realize that elections have consequences, but Im sure they wont.Stonecutter wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 2:14 pm No, but the lifted Cummins will

Oh a long box eh? Crew cab, long box is exactly what I was looking for when I found my current truck. 2500 crew standard box.
