Fear and ridicule are the tactics of weak-minded cowards and tyrants who have no other leadership talent from which to draw in order to persuade.

A comedy classic that never gets old.
Fear and ridicule are the tactics of weak-minded cowards and tyrants who have no other leadership talent from which to draw in order to persuade.
Re: Attitude
But then, there are some who come to forums that are so convinced by a flawed logic from the net or themselves, that they are compelled to read into your explanations meanings that you didn't intend, regardless of how many ways you rephrase it, or how simply you try to explain it, or by the science and physics involved. Some are pretty thin skinned and take offense easily.
Should you cut them adrift and let them flounder, or carry on trying to explain it at risk of offending them?
I used to try and help them, but not any more.
I wish you good luck on your journey Moe, you will need it with that attitude.
Re: Attitude
Actually, I believe that our recent online society has bred a class of people who are predisposed to believe that they are being insulted, nay “disrespected” at any disagreement. Sorry but, “goodbye” as this is not a forum for you. We explore. We question. We disagree. We don’t coddle.

Re: Attitude
Maybe not this guy though. He only made 2 posts and was never insulted. So I guess he reflected over the attitude one the forum in general. While it is very good for the most part, there are some people just waiting to axe down any newbie stupid enough to post a picture with some silicon at the spout or a turbo wash. Just sayin...Yonder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 10:35 pm Actually, I believe that our recent online society has bred a class of people who are predisposed to believe that they are being insulted, nay “disrespected” at any disagreement.
