having issues with some links

I wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed like the best place.

I am doing research on woods, oaking and toasting.

When I clicked on "slide show on oak contributions to whiskey" it didn't work.

I went to the another link- Interview with Macallan's Master of wood and it asked me to subscribe and wouldn't let me read it. It was asking for a fee (which I didn't pay of course)

Am I doing something wrong?

We have no control on links that are off site but if you can give a reference to what you are trying to access I will take a look at it and if it’s a link to another HD thread I might be able to fix it.

ohhh I think I did use the wiki link thing at the top. I thought it just did HD, sorry about that. I need to take a computer class

I was disappointed at the wiki not being more up to date when I first found homedistiller but I also know that keeping it up to date is a thankless task. It got a lot better lately though.

I haven't signed up for a editor's account yet.

If anyone finds any links that dont work, here or in the wiki they should report the link to a mod/ mods, we can then try to have the link fixed or remove it altogether.

Links don't last forever, so if you find one that contains valuable info, save the info to your hard drive, not the URL.

If one has disappeared, learn how to use https://archive.org/ to find a copy, then save the info to your hard drive.
