Nice work!
please do us all a favor and post the images to this site, not a hosting service. if I tap the image to get a better look I end up redirected to a hosting service advert link. Strip your data from the image before you post, but that is too nice of work to be lost to an image server change or broken link. That is one of the nicest parrots I have seen yet!

Eric , I’d also suggest you learn how to upload pics direct to forum using the attachment method .
PM me if you need more help .

Beautiful work! Mark me down as wanting one!
I just read an article about the dangers of drinking that scared the crap out of me.
That’s it. No more reading!

Very nice craftsmanship! Sure is pretty.
Re: new to me parrot
mod the parrot a little. lowered the reducer and changed the support. Have 20 gallons to run so will put it to use tomorrow.
Re: new to me parrot
That is one amazing little parrot/water cooler! Well done!
Re: new to me parrot
well that didn't work out the way i wanted it to. Vent was short for starters, added a swaged piece of pipe to extend it but still couldn't get the meter to float right. Think vent was to small too.

Re: new to me parrot
Maybe pull the thermo out of the vent

Re: new to me parrot
You could also have the parrot empty into a small graduated cylinder and float the meter in that
Hang on.....
Hopefully you can fix it as it's a great looking bit of kit.
My parrot that has now been dismantled had a one inch tube for the meter,
Can you get a narrower alcometer? But having seen your build skills I'm sure you'll have it fixed in no time
Good luck

Re: new to me parrot
now that thinking if vent is above upper needle valve it should work.

Re: new to me parrot
Hi eric .
It’s a bit hard to work out the relative height's from the camera angle and perspective , but wondering how high is the bottom of the vent Tee above the overflow tube in the parrot ? I’m wondering if the overflow tube to alcmeter clearance is too small , the alcohol might be backing up as it trys to get past . That would then start to block off the vent pipe with rising liquid negating any gains from the vent .IE you would start to get surging problems and alc meter bounce .
I’d agree with Sporicle that maybe upsizing the overflow tube diameter ,or getting a skinnier Alc meter should fix things

Re: new to me parrot
the bottom of the tee is equal to the overflow tube.
used this one for years without anyone problems. Same sizes of copper used, the difference being this one is open to the atmosphere.
